The President and the Executive Committee of the French Union of Experts extend their thanks and deepest gratitude to our colleague Michel Maket, President of CEDEA, for masterfully orchestrating his 2nd Expertise Symposium, which brought together on May 15, in the lounges of the MSOCIAL hotel in Paris, more than 80 experts from the six professional chambers affiliated with the European Confederation of Art Experts, in person and by videoconference.
The distinguished assembly clearly greatly appreciated the brilliant and informative presentations delivered in turn at the microphone by the four lawyers: Philippe BOCQUILLON on “Defining forgery and counterfeiting”, Michèle TROUFLAUT on “The expert’s due diligence”, Alexis FOURNOL on “Provenance in the authentication process”, and Olivier de BAECQUE on “The expert-dealer and the multiplicity of roles”, before sharing a warm moment of conviviality with the large audience over a delicious cocktail reception.
A next Expertise Symposium, organised by CEDEA, will be held in 2027.
