Victoire de Latour

The Expert Author of two Master's research theses on the painter Jean-Jacques Henner (1829-1905) (Sorbonne Paris IV), and holding a diploma as an art registrar (Jean Jaurès University of Toulouse), Victoire de Latour has been working in tandem since 2021 with Isabelle de Lannoy, author of the two volumes of the Catalogue raisonné of the artist published in 2008. She will co-sign with Isabelle de Lannoy the third volume currently being drafted, and travels to Paris to meet experts, auctioneers, and collectors to view and identify painted works present on the art market. It was in 2016 that Victoire de Latour discovered the work of Jean-Jacques Henner and the museum dedicated to him — at 43, avenue de Villiers, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris — during her Master's research and two internships alongside the museum's curator. She collaborated on the exhibition-dossier “The Literary Inspiration of Jean-Jacques Henner” (2017), and on the exhibition “Roux! From Jean-Jacques Henner to Sonia Rykiel” (2019).
In 2021, she contributed to the catalog of the first major retrospective dedicated to Jean-Jacques Henner: “Jean-Jacques Henner. Flesh and Ideal”, presented at the Museum of Fine Arts of Strasbourg from October 8, 2021, to January 24, 2022.
Her specialty as an art registrar allows for the methodical study and rigorous handling of Jean-Jacques Henner's paintings and drawings.
