The expertise of an instrument or bow involves establishing its authenticity, attributing its period of manufacture, and identifying its maker. The expert issues a certificate of authenticity, which serves as the instrument's or bow's identity card. French certifications are valid for 10 years. A certificate is equivalent to approximately 10% of the value; Yann Porret is authorized to issue certificates of authenticity and will be pleased to meet the expectations of musicians, instrumentalists, and collectors.The Valuation
Upon presentation of an instrument or bow, Yann Porret's workshop is accredited to provide the owner with a certificate of value that can be used as proof for an insurance company. It does not in any way guarantee the authenticity of the instrument or bow. It must be updated every five years.Contact
