THE EXPERT
Christian Sorriano is an auctioneer and expert in art and antiques.
An expert and customs assessor, he was appointed in 1992 by ministerial decree to a mission with the French government to structure the professions of Art and Antiques.
A specialist in decorative arts and Art Nouveau, particularly the École de Nancy, he is also an auctioneer and expert with the Hôtel des Ventes de Lausanne. In 2001, he created the Dictionnaire de cotation des artistes du XVe siècle à nos jours, which over successive editions became the Dictionnaire des Artistes Cotés – Guid’Arts, with its 24th edition published in 2025.
Since 2012, his editorial work has also been co-signed with his son Rémi Sorriano.
